Common Green Couch
A native couch, Common Green is a low maintenance grass, has a medium /fine texture with medium density and height. This grass will withstand extremes of heat and dry and will wear well.
The Queensland Education Department frequently specifies this grass for their schools. Wears well but can have a slightly clump appearance. Is also recommended for Batters, Gullies and road edges.

This grass has the ability to withstand wear and tear, yet maintain an attractive appearance.
It is quick to establish by sending down a strong root system. A high level of thatch inhibits weed infestation.
Currently installed at such venues as the Royal Pines and Palm Meadows Golf Courses it is also stipulated for many estates including Kingswood.
Due to the high level of thatch a yellow, scalped look may appear if your lawn is left too long between mowing. Greenlees Park therefore requires more frequent mowing to retain its peak appearance.

Windsor Green is a fine textured low profile hybrid couch. Mid greed in colour it produces less seed head, has short internodes and a massive stolon and root system.
Is exceptional in its wear characteristics and requires less water and fertilizer to maintain colour.

Excellent dark green colour. Very fine texture and low profile grass. This is an ideal variety for a feature lawn or a high use sports surface.
Used at Parramatta Stadium it is also suitable for Golf and other high wear installations.

Couch (Digitaria dicactyla) This grass has adapted itself beautifully to the Queensland climate and is ideally suited to the domestic user. With proper maintenance, Queensland Blue can provide a much admired, beautiful lawn. Its fine leaf does not show the yellow, scalped look of some hybrid couch grasses, and as it generally has a slower growth habit, mowing is not needed as frequently. It has been shown to be extremely drought tolerant and will recover well from periods of extended dry weather.

Palmetto is a native St Augustine cultivar selected for better colour and finer texture. Palmetto demonstrates superior shade, cold, frost, heat and drought tolerance and is suitable for a wide range of soil types. This grass has been widely used across the southern U S and is quickly establishing itself in Australia.
Palmetto is considered to be 80% shade tolerant.

Empire Zoysia is shade and cold tolerant, and once established is drought tolerant, it thrives in hot humid and desert areas. Zoysia is good at outcompeting weeds and requires less mowing than most other commercially grown lawns in Australia.
